Auf der Innenseite des Riemens sind Zähne aus einem Elastomer ausgeformt, die in ein spezielles Zahnrad eingreifen. Als Material der Zähne kommt Gummi, Chloropren-Kautschuk, Hydrierter Acrylnitrilbutadien-Kautschuk (HNBR) oder Kunststoff (Polyurethan) in Frage. À l’intérieur de la courroie, les dents, qui s’engrènent dans une roue dentée spécifique, sont formées en élastomère. Les matériaux utilisés pour les dents sont le caoutchouc, le caoutchouc chloroprène, le caoutchouc acrylonitrile-butadiène hydrogéné (HNBR) ou d’autres matériaux synthétiques (polyuréthane).
